UK Grid Monitor

UK Grid Monitor uses a Python server to feed energy data from various sources to an html dashboard for monitoring the UK’s electricity and gas supplies in real time. It also shows rain, river levels and flood warnings for England (from the Environment Agency), and — if you’re an Octopus Energy customer — your own household electricity and gas usage and costs.

Free API keys from openweathermap.org and Octopus Energy are optional, but an Open Call 4.0 API from Open Weather Maps would greatly enhance your weather monitoring experience. The national electricity and gas pages will run fine without them.

**Python must be running on your machine in order to run the server, which retrieves all the data**

Automatic Wefax Decoder

An HF weather-fax (WEFAX, ITU-R F.343 / WMO) receiver and decoder for Northwood (GYA), DWD and other international stations.

It listens to a sound-card input, finds each transmission automatically and decodes it, correcting tuning offset, slant and tears. It then cleans and sharpens the chart, names it from the broadcast schedules, saves it to disk and shows it in a browser page. With SDR Console’s CAT port it can also retune the radio through the day to collect the most important charts.
